Informa has announced that the next edition of WHX Tech will be held from 27–29 January 2027 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), running concurrently with World Health Expo (WHX) as part of a newly formed World Healthcare Week.

The decision to align the two events within the same week marks a strategic consolidation of two distinct but complementary forums – one focused on clinical and systems-level healthcare, the other on the digital technologies increasingly integral to its delivery.
World Healthcare Week: a unified platform
The combined programme will span trade, innovation and cross-sector dialogue across the healthcare ecosystem. The co-location is intended to reduce fragmentation for attendees and exhibitors who would otherwise navigate separate events on separate dates, and to facilitate more substantive engagement between healthcare providers, policymakers, procurement specialists and digital health developers.
WHX Tech will retain its dedicated focus on digital health – convening specialists across artificial intelligence, data infrastructure, interoperability and patient-centred innovation – while operating within the broader clinical and commercial context that WHX provides. The organisers have stated that each event will preserve its distinct identity and audience focus, even as the shared calendar creates structural opportunity for cross-pollination.
Commercial and clinical rationale
The co-location model reflects a broader trend in large-scale professional events towards integrated formats that offer greater return on attendance. For exhibitors, proximity to a wider and more senior audience reduces the cost and logistical burden of participating in multiple standalone events. For clinicians, health system leaders and policymakers, a single week encompassing both operational healthcare priorities and emerging technology solutions offers a more efficient engagement model.
Lorena Diaz Palle, Event Director at Informa, said: “Bringing WHX Tech into the same week as World Health Expo is about creating the best possible experience for our global community. We’re making it easier for attendees and exhibitors to maximise their time, access a broader network, and engage with both healthcare and technology in one place. As part of World Healthcare Week, this approach delivers a more connected, efficient and commercially valuable experience for everyone involved.”
