NMC Healthcare Group has announced the opening of a new outpatient clinic in Al Riyadh City, Abu Dhabi, extending the group’s network of primary and specialist care facilities across the emirate.

A broad clinical offering under one roof
The new facility spans approximately 1,600 square metres across two floors and has been designed with patient flow and accessibility in mind. The clinic offers consultations across seven clinical disciplines: family medicine, dermatology, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, psychiatry, and radiology. An in-house pharmacy has been integrated into the facility, allowing patients to dispense prescriptions on-site without requiring a separate visit to an external provider.
The clinic has received Thiqa Insurance approval, meaning UAE nationals enrolled in the scheme can access the full range of services under their existing coverage – a consideration of practical significance for a predominantly residential community such as Al Riyadh City.
Serving a growing residential community
Al Riyadh City is a family-oriented residential district in Abu Dhabi, and the clinic has been positioned explicitly to serve that demographic. David Hadley, Chief Executive Officer of NMC Healthcare, commented: “Our new clinic offers families a comprehensive range of healthcare services, ensuring fast, convenient access to exceptional medical care in their own neighbourhood.”
The inclusion of psychiatric services alongside more conventional primary and secondary care disciplines is notable, reflecting a broader shift within the UAE’s private healthcare sector towards integrating mental health provision into community-based clinical settings rather than confining it to specialist hospital environments.
Strategic context and national alignment
The opening forms part of NMC Healthcare’s stated strategy to consolidate its presence in key residential and growth areas across the UAE. The group describes itself as a leading integrated private healthcare provider in the country, and this latest facility continues a pattern of targeted geographic expansion into communities that may previously have had limited access to co-located specialist services.
NMC has framed the clinic’s opening within the context of the UAE’s national healthcare vision, which emphasises the development of resilient, accessible healthcare infrastructure and encourages innovation within the sector. The provision of multi-specialty outpatient care at community level – rather than directing all non-emergency cases to larger hospital settings – is consistent with the model of care increasingly favoured by health authorities seeking to reduce unnecessary tertiary referrals.
The facility is now open to patients. As Hadley noted, the clinic is “part of our broader mission to deliver personalised, high-quality healthcare to communities across the UAE.”
