Purpose-built Child Fertility clinic will combine Oxford-trained specialists, advanced IVF technology and personalised care in support of Saudi Vision 2030
Child Fertility is preparing to open a purpose-built reproductive medicine clinic in Riyadh, expanding access to advanced fertility treatment in Saudi Arabia. The clinic is currently accepting registrations for its waiting list and is expected to begin seeing patients later this summer.
Located in Al Malqa, the standalone clinic is designed exclusively for fertility patients. It aims to reduce the need for couples to travel to Oxford, London’s Harley Street or elsewhere in Europe for specialist treatment, allowing them to remain close to family and support networks during a process that may require repeated appointments over several weeks.
Infertility affects an estimated one in five couples in the Kingdom. The new clinic supports Vision 2030 ambitions to broaden access to advanced healthcare and strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position in clinical excellence and medical innovation.
Child Fertility was founded by Nian Capital, a GCC healthcare investor, and fertility specialist Professor Tim Child. Its team comprises specialists trained at the University of Oxford and is supported by a new IVF laboratory. Planned services include extended embryo culture and biopsy, with embryos developing for up to seven days before transfer, and time-lapse incubators that continuously monitor embryo development to support clinical decision-making.
Tailored treatment plans
Treatment plans will be tailored to each patient, including medical assessment, medication type and dosage, timing and embryo-transfer strategy. The clinic has also been designed around privacy, comfort and emotional wellbeing.
Professor Child, co-founder and Medical Director, is Professor of Reproductive Medicine at the University of Oxford and a board member of the UK Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority. He helped develop fertility treatment guidelines used by the UK National Health Service and has overseen IVF clinics in Oxford, London’s Harley Street and Europe.

Dr Arwa Alageel, consultant clinical embryologist and Laboratory Director, said her Oxford training had shown the effect of advanced laboratory practice and evidence-based care on patient outcomes. “The combination of internationally recognised clinical expertise, advanced laboratory technologies and tailored treatment approaches that are culturally driven will help expand access to high-quality fertility care within the Kingdom,” she said.

Riyadh is the first stage of a wider expansion plan, with additional clinics planned in Jeddah and Dammam.
