The Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) is a government-affiliated organization, under the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Korea. KHIDI carries out national affairs on the goals of fostering the domestic health industry, strengthening its international competitiveness, and consequently improving people’s quality of life in order to contribute to the advancement of Korea as a global bio and digital health hub.

A consensus on the importance of the health industry has formed to build a safe and healthy society against the health risks derived from emerging infectious diseases and a super-aged society. To foster the health industry for the healthy future of our families and neighbors – this is the role and calling of KHIDI.

Turning innovation into experience, experience into trust
The Korean Medical Device Training & Education Support Centers are national platforms designed to enhance the clini­cal adoption and global competitiveness of Korean medical devices by providing hands-on training in real clinical envi­ronments. Through hospital-based and regional centers, healthcare profession­als including residents, fellows, nurses, practicing clinicians, and international medical staff gain direct experience and practical proficiency using domestically developed medical devices in operating rooms, simulation labs, and structured training programs.

By bridging the gap between techno­logical innovation and real-world clinical practice, the Centers play a vital role in building medical professionals’ trust, im­proving clinical familiarity, and acceler­ating the market entry and utilization of Korean medical devices. The program also supports participating companies by deliv­ering direct clinical feedback and expand­ing global outreach through international training initiatives.

Showcasing Korea’s cutting-edge Medtech at the K-Medtech Experience Pavilion
KHIDI will participate in WHX 2026, con­tinuing its mission to promote the global competitiveness of Korea’s advanced med­ical technologies. At the K-Medtech Ex­perience Pavilion, selected Korean compa­nies will showcase their latest innovative medical devices through live demonstra­tions, offering visitors hands-on access to cutting-edge solutions.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with company experts and medical professionals, gain valuable in­sights into product performance and clini­cal value, and explore how Korean medtech is shaping the future of healthcare.
